In a job interview recently I was asked what the worst parts of me are. I couldn’t really answer it although thinking about it. I should have just said…
If I wasn’t so, addictive, aggressive, defensive, irrational, ignorant, stubborn a person. I wouldn’t be who I am now.
These are my worst traits…

If I’m honest.. which i quite like to believe i am.. I feel very blessed to be in this current position.. Second year at Ravensbourne, design for moving image.. it probably sounds arrogant to state the position im in.. although i feel more blessed and humbled by the people that i am meeting along this journey.. I have made contact with individuals from around 5 or 6 agencies tonight and...
If the right of free speech is truly what it’s supposed to be, then anything you say is alright”
Gil Scott-Heron
Why do we always say thank you when people say something you have bought looks nice? It’s not as if I designed my new coat or the iPhone but people tend to tell you things look nice, (Unless your a goat).

I watch more films on my laptop than i do on the 42” television in the front room.
Money money money?
Does the label of student make a life within design harder? What’s the difference between being a student and a professional? I consider myself to be good at what I do… or perhaps best described as going through an experimental patch… I’m sure the day will come when I can tell people I’m a professional designer, earning money from the work I produce. Perhaps...
Surely if councils keep closing libraries publishers will just get shut off by the kindle. Not everyone has a computer but everyone has access to a 3g network provided for free via amazon. Everyone can find somewhere to sit and read also.
Although I’m posting this and have a kindle, I am currently really enjoying having a psychical copy of Adrian Shaugnessy’s “how to be a...

I naturally crave disappointment. After all I am British.
In poor taste.
My laptop has just told me that i need to service my battery. I can’t help but think about poor un-tasteful jokes about steve jobs. Although… The future of design could possibly change when he does pop his clogs. I for one won’t be switching to PC any time soon. Long live Jobs.
P.s. if you charge me for a new battery I shall through a tantrum.
The Temptations
I always feel tempted to release a few thoughts on here. I’m glad I haven’t done so just yet. Who knows who is reading this thing, or who could find out what I’m thinking about them.
Google Infographics
I know I should but I’m really not enjoying this product. I can’t see why we aren’t allowed to use audio books for our voiceovers. We aren’t pitching a manifesto, we are pitching fact! If an audiobook is teaching us the facts of a product why not use them? Research is only slowing me down.

045 - Insignificance?
Having read various reviews of Computers and Blues I strongly believe these pompos bold type features have missed the thought that has gone into the latest streets album. Mike Skinner lead one of the most fascinating marketing campaigns to present day in the month coming to his new album. When you recall the years between the last and present album, complete silence between the streets, the beats,...
where does the ice start and stop in the north sea? surely cold weather cant be so powerful that it freezes the majority of the sea? there must be a point where it reaches a mutual point and its half ice and half sea?

I’ve come to realise that by not expecting things to happen, they eventually will, or you may have to wait longer for the desired outcome. Even if it never happens you won’t be as disappointed or upset as if you had built expectations for such things to happen.
Today I have achieved absolutely nought, just being out of my house I’ve...
015 - shit branding
Just finished watching children of men, what a fascinating film. Anyone else notice the branding on his jumper. lonDON 2012. Strange eh. A director can foresee the future in such a way that he completely missed the downfall in british design.
I will be glad when this project is over.
Ahem. Writing 800 words about my existence creates a bit of a problem. The sheer thought of placing words in correlation to my life in order to dictate my future within an industry that moves so rapidly suggests this time could have spent on creating a link and bond with such future employers. In fact I could have tweeted approximately 50 messages to varies agencies throughout the time it has...
014 - Spooky eh?
The digital age is an astonishing thing but when as human beings, living entities start to develop and evolve? Perhaps we have reached the end of the worlds cycle and it ‘just will be’ fate that 2012 brings the end of our existence.
012 - Shut up!
One thing that really annoys me about being in ravensbourne is that we get bombarded with emails from fellow students asking for work to be done. I wonder what these broadcast students do with their time? Just lounge around waiting for others to produce work for them? Shut up!
On another note, I bought some lettraset today, needless to say I spelt half the fucking words wrong.
013 - Do the okie pokey
You put your left leg in, you right leg out, do the okie pokey and shake it all about. As a freelancer or student whichever category you want to put me in, a lot of time and work goes into what we do. I seem to spend more time reading blogs, sending emails and drinking with potential contacts within this industry, (this is only a recent revelation).
So “you put your left leg in”.

012 - Call it a score and we're even.
Sitting in the library and its 9.44am. I turnt up an hour early to get a bit of lee way on this branding project, not to mention to take advantage of the colleges broadband. It’s just occurred to me, “How do you put a price on your creative thought?”.
As far as I’m concerned being a “creative”, is a blessing. Something that has come from years of ignorance...
011 - on the up.
Im a south london boy at heart. I’ve lived here all my life. As far as I’m concerned nowhere else will ever be home, no matter how much of an improvement it will be. This is my chance to say that Millwall have finally gone up to seventh in the champions league. Whay! Moving onto life in the design industry. I have got an interview this thursday for an internship at Moonshine Media....
